Serving more than 18 years as Prosecutor for the City of North Olmsted and four years as Assistant County Prosecutor of Cuyahoga County, Attorney Michael Gordillo provides experienced, quality legal representation to individuals and businesses. With his extensive courtroom experience and in-depth understanding of municipal law, Mike helps his clients reach their goals, regardless of how complex or challenging their legal issues may be.
Professional Experience
Michael Gordillo is an accomplished trial lawyer who gained significant jury trial experience while serving as an Assistant Prosecutor for Cuyahoga County. In 2005, he left that position and focused his private practice on criminal law and employment law. While maintaining and managing his own firm, Michael earned a wealth of experience handling countless cases. As a founding partner of Valore & Gordillo, LLP, (which later integrated with Wegman Hessler) he represented clients across many courts in the Cleveland area, drawing upon his vast knowledge of and experience in municipal law, business, and law enforcement.
In addition to handling personal legal matters, Mike has litigated numerous employment cases since 2005. He has co-authored papers presented at employment law seminars in Ohio, Arkansas, Montana, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, South Dakota, and Wyoming. In 2007, he was awarded the Ohio Employment Lawyers Association scholarship for devoted new employment lawyers. He is a member of the Ohio Employment Lawyers Association, the Cleveland Employment Lawyers Association, and the Northeast Ohio Municipal Prosecutors Association.
Michael graduated from Cleveland Marshall College of Law in 2000 and from the Ohio State University in 1995. He is admitted to all Ohio Courts and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. Professional memberships include: the Ohio Employment Lawyers Association, the Cleveland Employment Lawyers Association, and the Northeast Ohio Municipal Prosecutors Association.
