Sharon G. Ross

Sharon G. Ross practices in the area of business litigation, with comprehensive experience handling cases from inception through trial and appeal. As a member of the firm’s litigation practice, Sharon represents clients in commercial disputes, insurance defense matters, and civil proceedings requiring skilled courtroom advocacy and strategic dispute resolution.

Sharon’s litigation practice encompasses all phases of case management, including client interviews, pleading and motion practice, comprehensive discovery, depositions, mediation and settlement negotiations, and trial preparation and appeals. Her experience includes defending businesses and individuals in matters involving contract disputes, insurance claims, and commercial litigation. She conducts thorough case analysis, develops litigation strategy, and provides clients with clear counsel on risk assessment and resolution options throughout the litigation process.

Prior to joining Wegman Hessler Valore, Sharon developed her trial skills through significant governmental and private practice experience. She served as Staff Attorney in the Cuyahoga County Domestic Relations Court, where she conducted settlement conferences, mediated disputes, researched and drafted judicial opinions, and managed complex pretrial matters. Her governmental experience also includes serving as Assistant Prosecuting Attorney with the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office and Assistant City Prosecutor in the City of Cleveland’s Domestic Violence Unit, where she prosecuted cases through verdict, argued motions, and briefed and argued matters before the Eighth District Court of Appeals.

Sharon’s diverse litigation background includes representing clients in insurance defense matters, conducting insurance fraud investigations, analyzing complex evidentiary records, and collaborating with law enforcement and expert witnesses. Her courtroom experience spans municipal, common pleas, and appellate courts throughout Ohio, providing her with comprehensive knowledge of Ohio civil procedure and litigation strategy.

Sharon attended the prestigious Gerry Spence’s Trial Lawyers College, recognized as one of the nation’s premier trial advocacy training programs. This intensive training has enhanced her ability to effectively advocate for clients in high-stakes litigation and trial proceedings.
