We are proud to share that Wegman Hessler Associate Jessica MacGeiger has been named to the Federation of Defense Corporate Counsel Ladder Down Cleveland Class of 2022. The year-long program is designed to empower women attorneys, with coaching and professional development in the areas of leadership, business development and mentoring. 

Jessica earned her B.A. from Baldwin Wallace College (magna cum laude) and J.D. from Cleveland State Marshall College of Law (summa cum laude). During law school, she served as an Associate and Research Editor for the Cleveland State Law Review. 

Today Jessica focuses her practice on representing companies in business, employment and commercial matters, as well as tort and product liability issues. She is a member of the Ohio State and Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Associations, as well as the Federal Bar Association, Northern District of Ohio Chapter. She also serves as the Publicity Co-Chair for the Northeast Ohio Chapter of the American Constitution Society for Law and Policy and as a committee member of the American Cancer Society Pan Ohio Hope Ride Local Committee.

Jessica previously worked within the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, serving as the Court’s Multidistrict Litigation Law Clerk in the chambers of the Honorable Daniel Aaron Polster, as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Sara Lioi, and as a Pro Se and Death Penalty Staff Attorney for the federal district court.

Professional honors include: the Sydney A. Levine Award for Best Paper in a Legal Writing Course and Outstanding Note of the Year Award in Spring 2008; the Frank L. Bartak Memorial Fund Award for Outstanding Student in Contracts, and being continuously placed by Judge James C. Connell on the Rising Stars list, 2017-2020.
