Dean Valore heads up the Wegman Hessler Valore privacy and cybersecurity practice. Dean spent several years in the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office as an Assistant Prosecutor before joining the United States Department of Justice as an Assistant United States Attorney.

In 2008, Valore was the lead prosecutor on one of the country’s first and largest federal prosecutions of Romanian organized cybercrime.   Currently, Valore is a partner at the law firm of Wegman Hessler Valore in Cleveland, where he chairs the firm’s Privacy and Cybersecurity practice.

In 2016, Valore was a featured presenter at the Cybersec International Cybersecurity Conference in Krakow, Poland, and again in 2018 at the NATO Military Headquarters Center of Excellence Cybersecurity Investigation Conference in Bydgoszcz, Poland. He regularly presents on international cybercrime prosecutions for the Cleveland Council on World Affairs to international delegations from around the world.

Valore serves as on-air legal analyst for WKYC in Cleveland and has been featured as a legal expert on NBC’s The Today Show, MSNBC, CNN, Canada’s CTV and in the USA Today. Valore has presented on federal anti-human trafficking laws and criminal civil rights and has lectured at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia on federal prosecutions of racially motivated hate crimes. He has participated in the U.S. Attorney General's advisory committee on international organize crime and was honored by the FBI and Department of Homeland Security with awards of excellence in federal prosecution.

Valore also serves as Magistrate in the South Euclid Municipal Court and is an Adjunct Professor of Law at the Cleveland Marshall College of Law, where he teaches Criminal Procedure.
