Professional Experience
Over the years, Attorney Joe Valore has gained unparalleled experience in municipal law, workers compensation, and real estate law and personal injury. He has established a sound reputation in the Cleveland legal community for his honest, ethical, and professional values. Joseph takes a hands-on approach to the practice of law, working one-on-one with his clients, creating a personal relationship of trust and confidence. His approach is family-oriented, and he enjoys helping his clients solve any type of legal challenge their family or business may be facing.
Since 1975, he has been one of Cleveland’s foremost experts in worker’s compensation law. During law school, he studied under Cleveland lawyer, Harold Ticktin—former professor of worker’s compensation law. Harold served as his mentor, and to this day, they continue to work together on specific cases. As a former claims adjuster for one of the nation’s largest insurance companies, Joe has significant experience in commercial and residential real estate law. In 1994, he helped found Valore Builders, Inc., a family-run residential and commercial real estate firm widely regarded as Cleveland’s most prestigious building company. Today, as General Counsel to Valore Builders, Inc., Joe handles any and all legal issues whether it be dealing with municipal ordinances and processes or complex negotiations for the acquisition and sale of real estate.
Joe maintains an excellent relationship with all of Cleveland’s Westside and Lorain’s Eastern municipalities and has familiarization with their building codes and processes. He is the former chairman of City of Westlake’s Charter Review commission and the former prosecutor for City of Bay Village.
Attorney Joe Valore also has extensive experience advising clients on estate planning and probate matters. During his career, he has counseled over 2,000 clients in more than 40 counties in Ohio. He routinely manages probate and non-probate assets for clients, including those with modest savings to those with multi-million-dollar estates. He works closely with clients to help them understand early-planning options available to them and assists them to put in place a sound estate plan to save them and their loved ones time, money, and hassle.
Joe and his wife, Emmy, have lived in Westlake, Ohio since 1970. In 1989, they were named “Mr. and Mrs. Westlake” for their civil leadership and community involvement.
