Wegman Hessler Valore, a business law firm near Cleveland, Ohio is currently seeking an experienced Attorney to join their Business Services team.
The full-service corporate law firm specializes in using legal discipline to solve business problems. Their focus is based on the diverse needs of family owned and closely held businesses, providing strategic solutions to help businesses run smarter. The firm represents business clients on a variety of risk management and transactional matters, including business formation and succession planning, corporate agreements and transactions, commercial and residential leasing and real estate matters, supply chain issues, regulatory compliance and employment issues.
With Wegman Hessler Valore, it’s personal. Located in the Rockside Road area of Independence, the firm strives to balance the needs of its clients with the work-life balance of its staff. The ideal candidate for the Attorney opportunity will possess 3-5 years of related experience in drafting corporate documents, contract review, commercial agreements, and complex business transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, confidence, a good sense of humor and a collaborative attitude; must be ready to handle a variety of legal matters.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in Corporate Business and Transactional Law
- Bachelor's Degree
- Juris Doctorate
- Admission to the Ohio Bar
- Solid writing, analytical and research skills
- Spirit of collaboration with other attorneys
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
Responsibilities
- Directly and indirectly contributes to the financial success of the Firm
- Actively promotes professionalism, collegiality, and diversity within and outside the Firm
- Delivers excellent customer service and quick follow up to internal and external clients
- Possesses strong organizational, writing, and analytical skills
- Prepare correspondence, contracts, and other legal documents
- Monitors routine to complex corporate legal matters to formulate next course of action and ensure deadlines are maintained
- Interprets laws, rulings, and regulations and provide authoritative legal advice for individuals and businesses
- Develops and maintains relationships with clients
- Provides appropriate mentoring and serves as a resource for less experienced Junior Associates
- Engages in business development, amplifying firm services to prospective and new clients on an ongoing basis
- Represents and promotes the firm within the community and at public, social, and business gatherings
- Assigns and reviews the work of department staff, as required.
